One year in England anniversary

Exactly one year ago today we landed at Heathrow Airport to begin the crazy journey of living in England. We arrived with no place to stay, a toddler in tow, and 6 large duffel bags of belongings, while the rest of our things floated over the Atlantic Ocean.

We spent a day in London, trying to kick the jet lag, and did a bit of foggy exploring. I honestly don't know if I've ever been so overwhelmed and exhausted in my life, but it was also so exciting!

We were able to find a nice house in a quiet, picturesque village, where we lived for about 9 months when our landlord decided to sell the house. We've since moved to a nearby town,  and absolutely love it.

This year has been full of firsts, milestones, travels, and random things that have made our life fun and interesting. Here are some of the highlights from the past year that I wanted to share with you (believe me, I had to sift through hundreds and hundreds of photos!)

Country Parks and playgrounds are way better in the UK than in the US. Rafe truly LOVES to play outside!

This past year has been a blast, with lots of changes. We're very much looking forward to what the next year brings...a new addition to our family, a trip to the States to visit with family and dear friends, and hopefully another trip into mainland Europe. Thanks for making us feel loved and missed while we are on this adventure!
